Testing of Flaris LAR1 unit no. 007 – a forecast of higher capabilities
The next round of tests of FLARIS LAR1 – single-engine business jet confirmed the assumptions made previously.
Functional tests of the following aircraft subsystems of a LAR 1 unit no. 007 were conducted: Garmin G600 avionics system, FFAS® flight computer (Flaris Flight Assistance System), hydraulic extension/retraction of landing gear, closing and opening of landing gear hatch, closing and opening of parachute rescue system hatch.
During the test, the entire LAR1 aircraft and its engine – the Williams FJ33-5A turbofan operated flawlessly. To date, the engine has worked reliably under various conditions for over a hundred flight-hours.
– We are proud of the progression of the tests and it is not the limit of our capabilities – says Rafał Ładziński, the CEO of Flaris, and he continues – we already know that FLARIS LAR1 meets our requirements. It is able to transport four people to a distance of 2500 kilometers in less than 3.5 hours.
