FLARIS in wind tunel

sty 4, 2012

A FLARIS LAR 1 model, with a wingspan of 3 meters, has successfully completed tests in Poland’s largest T3 low speed wind tunnel (with a 5m test chamber) in the Aerodynamics Center of the Aviation Institute in Warsaw. The model, which was built for the first testing phase, is propelled by a jet engine.

–  What makes our project advantageous is innovation. FLARIS LAR 1 is an innovative structure on a worldwide scale. There is no plane like this one – underlines Rafał Ładziński, the leader of the research and development team and director of the Flaris project.
